Murder detectives investigating disappearance of Seyed Khan in East London
Homicide detectives are investigating the disappearance of a man from his workplace in East London. Seyed Khan, 49 from Thamesmead in South East London was last seen at work at A-Z Carpets in Ilford High Road, East London. The last known sighting of Mr Khan was at approximately 17:00 on the 24th January. Detectives investigating the case said that he left the shop to take a phone call, but has not been seen since.
Officers leading the investigation say that his disappearance is out of character and they are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare. Giving a description of Mr Khan, officers said that Mr Khan is a 5’9 Asian man of medium build and with short black hair. At the time of his disappearance he was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and grey trainers. He is known to frequent the Plumstead, Thamesmead, Woolwich and Ilford areas of London.
Detective Inspector Richard Leonard said: “It has now been a week since Mr Khan left his place of employment to answer his phone. We would like to speak with whoever placed that call, or anyone who saw where he went. Somebody must have seen him.” The case has now been taken over by the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command. Anyone with information is urged to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or call the incident room on 0208 721 4622.
