Murder investigation launched after man stabbed to death in East London
A murder investigation has been launched by police after a 26-year-old man was stabbed to death in North East London. The victim was stabbed multiple times in a children’s play area on the George Downing Estate, Stoke Newington. Witnesses told the Evening Standard that the man was chased through the estate by three men and how passers-by used their clothes to try to stem the flow of blood from the mortally wounded man.
The man was attacked at approximately 23:30 yesterday. He was rushed to a London hospital but sadly died from his injuries. No arrests have been made in relation to the case and a post-mortem is due to take place. This is the second murder to occur in this part of London this year. 34-year-old Daniel Frederick died after being stabbed outside Burns House on Shakespeare Walk on the 8th January. Two arrests have been made in relation to the Daniel Frederick case.
