Man fighting for life after being shot in East London
A man is fighting for this life in hospital today after being shot in his head in East London. The 21-year-old man was discovered by the London Ambulance Service suffering from a gunshot wound in Romford Road, Stratford after being called at just after 22:30 last night (January 21st) His injuries are being treated as life-threatening. No arrests have been made.
Two teenagers died after being shot in the Newham area last year. Back in August, 19-year-old Abdul Mayanja was shot dead in Stratford. Police were called to reports of shots being fired on Well Street at roughly 22:40. Upon arrival, officers and paramedics discovered Abdul Mayanja suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest. He sadly passed away soon after being taken to hospital. Six men have been arrested by police investigating this murder so far.
10 days later in nearby Forest Gate, 14-year-old Corey Davis was shot in the head in broad daylight on Moore Walk. Police and paramedics were called to the scene at 15:10 where they found two boys suffering from gunshot injuries. Corey Davis was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, where he remained until he tragically passed away the following day. The 17-year-old boy who was shot in the incident suffered life-changing leg injuries during the incident. To this date, no one has been arrested over the crime and the murder remains unsolved.
